A comment was posted regarding a statement I made that prostitution is legal in France but pimping is not. The exchange of money for sex is legal, but the reality is convoluted since solicitation is illegal, even passive solicitation. Standing on the corner in a mini can get you arrested.

Below are links that summarize the situation. Unfortunately I can't find one the delves into the nuances of the law in plain language, but if I find it I'll add it.

Femmigration.net is a site that is the 'Legal Agenda for Migrant Prostitution and Trafficked Women on the Internet'. Made for women who wish to migrate to the EU for the sex industry.

Femmigration: Sex Work- France gives a summary of the sex work laws in France in simple terms. Or at least, I found it easy to understand. The site also advises women to obtain a lawyer for assistance on individual cases. Hope this helps.

You're more than welcome! I've been doing a lot of research on the subject since I want to enter sex work in France. So I want to get a lay of the land.
