My policy in seeing clients is the minimum date is six hours, except for the initial get to know each other get together. The exception to this are any of my regulars and a handful of semi regulars who were among the first clients I saw when I began escorting. These dates are mostly about sex but occasionally not. This week I saw two irregulars. I met the first yesterday at his hotel room for a suck and fuck session, today the second at a bistro.

He was waiting when I arrived and his appearance was so haggard I needed to ask if something was wrong. There was, his fifteen year old daughter had been arrested as part of a shoplifting ring early this week. He’s talked with me before about this wild child but now it seems that things are spinning further out of control. He wanted to talk and I let him, pretty soon the two hours passed and we still chatted. Finally he needed to go. I offered to cancel the date and see that he wouldn’t be charged, but he wouldn’t hear of it and then he left me with the usual tip.

I think it's the talking without the pressure that ads value. You're better than a therapist because he knows you're not going to spit back platitudes without meaning.

And that you offered to comp the entire two hours proves how truly beautiful a person you are.

Do you know you truly have a heart of gold, Kim? That's why you're rewarded with clients who understand your time is money and they don't take advantage of your generousity. It is great that he tipped too and I hope his daughter issue will work out. The "suck & fuck" session sounded fun. Hope that client is a good tipper as well! :) How is your marketing gig going or have you been too busy for that?

Aren't conversations like that what make a truly close client-customer relationship? I know with my phone clients we grow closer when we put sex on the side momentarily and just talk about our lives.

I completely agree. Empty platitudes can drive one absolutely batty.
