It was on the Métro today going from Gare de Lyon to Opéra, when I learned that the police had squashed a plot to bomb the Métro. The Métro and my bicycle are my primary forms of transportation. Generally I feel safe, but since Madrid and particularly since London a little voice of fear has whispered to me on occasion as I enter a station. I dismiss it but today's news made me shudder.

Good to hear that the wedding went well Kim, and that your business plans continue apace. In the states' we have to worry about drowning from the ciminal incompetence of many layers of bureaucratic BS long before we'd be likely to get blown up. At least south of the Mason Dixon line. Cheers & Good Luck, 'VJ'

I do believe transportation is where we all are most vulnerable.

Take care and be safe.

Sadly, these are troubling times that we live in. Take courage and GOD be with you because we can't let fears change how we live our lives! Take care!

I was at Kings Cross on 07.07 and let me calm your concerns. Those guys were no good. You could hardly even tell anything had happened - nothing like 9-11.

Obviously it wouldn't be the same suicide bombers but if their tricks are the same, as long as you're not standing right on top of them you should be fine.
