I’m NYC waiting for Jacques to finish with his meeting and then we will leave for the airport. I came in Sunday and had dinner and stayed with my friend Karen who I haven’t seen in over a year. Karen was a year ahead of me in college and when we met we immediately hit it off as partners in crime.

K lives in Brooklyn and is one of those hip ultra cool chicks that know what the best clubs are and who has the best parties. Kim of course is terminally unhip, but who is happy to go along for the ride; another example of the importance of who you know. We had dinner at a little hole in the wall and talked over coffee before heading to a club and later to a party at in a loft. The conversation hit a lull and I took a sip of coffee, Karen took that moment to ask, “Well how does it feel to be Mercurial Girl?” I nearly spit out my coffee and was so taken aback that I could only look at her dumbfounded.

Of all my old friends Karen is the one who I have the least concern about knowing. She has worked both sides of the camera in porn and it wouldn’t surprise me if she has a couple of things she hasn’t shared, but mostly she is very discrete. So I simply responded that being Mercurial Girl has been very good for me and then I asked how she found out. She explained that she followed a link several months ago and began to drop by occasionally. At some point she decided to read the archives and figured it out from that.

My time with Jacques was filled with being a listening device at two business lunches and a pair of private dinners. When we were alone I was his fuck toy and he was very horny. While he was in meetings I took the opportunity to schedule appointments of my own with a couple of contacts I had and a couple of referrals that Grace made for me. Hopefully Kim & Co will get some business from them.

No freaking way! Karen actually stumbled onto your blog and then figured it out that it was you? Wow!! What are the chances? Maybe you should hide the archives to protect your privacy?! I'm just glad that she is not judgemental about your work besides Kim&Co.

Nice to hear you're working with Jacques again. I always like to read about your encounters with him. :) Have a safe trip back to Paris!

It's always hazardous to put yourself out there on the WWW, especially if you want to be 'discrete'. But I'm glad to see you're getting some business done while in NYC. Just enough of this jet setting stuff will make you 'hip' in no time. Besides attitude, the one thing all hipsters respect is real beauty. They consume it of course, but they know and appreciate it just the same. Cheers & Good Luck! 'VJ'
