We have Thanksgiving at Dad’s, and I cook. Wags came along to meet the family. The pugs were in the garden when we arrived so the pup had the opportunity to be showered with attention. But shortly they were scratching at the glass and Dad let them in. Wags took one look at the canine bowling balls coming at him and rolled on to his back and let go a stream of urine that caught Abelard squarely in the face.

Not that he cared, he and Heloise wanted to check out this interloper. Soon Wags figured out they meant no harm and the chaos began. Soon they were exiled to the garden where they could rampage to their hearts delight.

Dinner is in the evening, so Juliette’s children and their families can join us. The children loved the puppy, but there were also many tears, as Wags has yet to grasp the concept of a soft mouth, though Heloise gave him a good disciplining when he bit down on her ear.

This year none of my siblings joined us, which disappointed both Dad and I, but we were surprised when my uncle Ken called and invited himself and his bride. News that was a surprise to us.

Got to remember the 'Wags' move with some of my more unfortunate relations. I'm sure they'd get the point right away. Happy (Belated) Thanksgiving anyway! Happily ours was spent at the 4 Seasons. No muss, no fuss, and I ate mostly fish for mine! Seriously decadent deserts too. Cheers & Good Luck! 'VJ'
