The opera was good, if you like that sort of thing, and my date does. A mutual friend introduced us and a comment I made about having been to several operas was interpreted as me being an opera buff. That led to last night’s invitation. We met at café near the Opéra Bastille for a drink and stopped later for a bite to eat before he escorted me home and waited while I got Wags for his walk. Then a buss on the cheek and he receded into the evening.

He was nice, interesting to speak with and if he calls again, I’d see him. He was a bit focused, he seemed willing to speak about most anything but it was obvious what subjects really interested him. Our friend mentioned that he is looking for a serious relationship; I didn’t pick up on that from the conversation. Not that he’ll find that with me, as there is only one relationship I’m interested in now, even if only to resolve it. But till that happens, I’m more than happy to go out as I hate staying in more than a couple of nights in a row.

What did you see? Salome? I love opera but, to be honest, only from really good seats. M

"A mutual friend introduced us and a comment I made about having been to several operas was interpreted as me being an opera buff." I'm sorry but anyone who endures more than 2 Operas is automatically deemed a 'buff' or a 'fan'. They're quite desperate. But sounds like an interesting bloke, between the lines. Cheers & Good Luck! Nope, according to the Google it's 'Andrea Chénier', music by UMBERTO GIORDANO (1867-1948), LIBRETTO BY LUIGI ILLICA, (Italian). I'm wholly unfamiliar with it though. And it finally occurs to me reading between the lines that it's C. that might be the unresolved issue here. Cheers & Good Luck as always, 'VJ'

I guessed Salome because a friend was at a recent performance in Paris. I like that opera. Andrea Chenier is ok. The music can be stirring. M

BTW, the google word verification was "horsin." Thought that was funny in many dimensions.

Yes, if I knew what it was, I'd not need to look it up! But thanks for the introduction. Cheers & Good Luck! 'VJ'

My reading comprehension sucks.

This time the word verification was "nosin."
