Denise, a least a couple of glasses of wine beyond the sensical, was curled up on my couch with her head in my lap: “You should find a man and marry him, as will I and then we can be lovers again.”

Me: "Why do we need the men, can’t we just be lovers?"

Denise: “Because it works better that way. We don’t need as much from each other. Everything was perfect when I was married and you were my lover.”

She had a point, it was a nice period, but it wasn’t sustainable.

Me: “Why did you leave him then?”

Denise: “He became too weird.”

Me: “That’s an understatement.”

She's still more right than wrong, especially in France too. Traditional as well! Cheers & Good Luck, 'VJ'
