This afternoon, Grace and I reviewed the health insurance plan for the NY office and the attendant costs. It frustrates me as to how much health care costs in the US particularly how much of a hassle it is getting service, not to mention the mediocre outcomes.

Note the chart above, the vertical axis shows life expectancy in years and the horizontal axis health care spending per capita. See the position of the US in relationship to EU countries. Spending twice as much and dying sooner.

Unfortunately, American health car is far behind that in Canada or France.
