Google has announced a new "Adult Content Policy on Blogger"

Google has announced a new "Adult Content Policy on Blogger"

Starting March 23, 2015, you won't be able to publicly share images and video that are sexually explicit or show graphic nudity on Blogger.
What does that mean? Define sexually explicit and graphic nudity. How will bloggers know what offends Google's censors?

Note: We’ll still allow nudity if the content offers a substantial public benefit, for example in artistic, educational, documentary, or scientific contexts.
What is "substantial public benefit" and define "artistic?" Again how will we know what offends the Censors?

Settings you can update for existing blogs

If your blog was created before March 23, 2015, and contains content that violates our new policy, you have a few options for changing your blog before the new policy starts:
If you’d rather take your blog down altogether, you can export your blog as a .xml file or archive your blog's text and images using Google Takeout.
 My this is draconian.

As a practical matter Mercurial Girl has nearly 1100 post of which roughly 10% of those posts have a picture to enhance the content and some of those pictures show nudity and some sexual congress, lets call it 1% of all posts. So Google is going to shut Mercurial Girl (and other blogs) down for something I have no idea that I'm in offense of?

It is obvious that Google is not going through every blog, post by post to see what is there, they will either use complaints or some technology to sniff out the offenders. Since this is the case why don't they notify the blog owner of the specific offensive posts and allow the the blogger to remove or modify the post.

If this notice came out April 1, I'd think it was a joke.

Just tried complaining to Google and either they've turned off their complaint forum or it is overwhelmed.

Google is not that cool anymore. Luckily, I'm not sharing nudity - just shirtless guys... But I feel for you guys who do.

Still!! There are talks Google is gonna back down from this decision.
